Abstract

Shim (2003) describes "unknown key-share" attacks on the two protocols, server-specific MAKEP and linear MAKEP, proposed by Wong and Chan (2001). In this letter, we point out an error in one of the attacks and demonstrate further undesirable properties in the protocols of Wong and Chan.
