Copy at K.4.d.2. Voice parts added in manuscript on the cover of each part book in a sixteenth-century hand: ‘Superius. Ad Pares voces 4’; composers’ names have been added to the index in pencil in the superius part book.

Copy at K.4.d.2. On p.21 of all partbooks the word ‘submissas’ has been added in manuscript over ‘nocturnas’ both times in brown ink. In the tenor part, a new text has been added in brown text over the staves for Ihan Gero’s ‘Hodie scietis’. This is not clearly legible but appears to begin using the printed ‘Hodie’ and continue ‘nata est beata virgo Maria ex progenie David per quam salus mundi..... apparuit’.

Copy at K.4.d.2. Barlines added in brown ink to most pieces in the bassus part book. A line of music has been written into the blank staves in the the bassus part book after ‘Missus est Archangelus’ with the words ‘Hodie justis’ underneath. This has then been crossed out. Accidentals have been added to Morales ‘Candida uirginitas’ ( a flat on the third to last note in both pars). Also in the bassus part, ‘botrix’ has been altered to ‘botris’ in Gombert’s ‘O Quam pulchra es’. A short phrase of illegible text has also been added to Gero’s ‘O beatum pontificum’. In the bassus part for Ihan Gero’s ‘O quam veneranda’ one hand has corrected ‘Marina’ to ‘Maria’ and added a short phrase of illegible text above this. A second hand has added a new text: ‘sancta et immaculata virginitas quibus te laudibus efferam nescio quia quem Caeli Capere non poterant. Tuo gremis contulisti benedicata tu in mulieribus et benedictus fructus ventris tui.’
