21 five-part and five four-part chansons (nos. 6, 7, 9, 10, 13). Nos 1, 6, 7, 20 and 24 are canons. The fifth voice part, when required, is printed in one of the other part books. The Tenor has a different title-page and a dedication in verse to Queen Mary of Hungary: at the end is ’Fin du Premier Liure’.

Copy at K.4.g.2. Imperfect. Fol. 1 of the Discantus part book is wanting, but has been supplied in manuscript. End flyleaf of contratenor part-book has pen and ink floral doodles and signature: Anthony Dixson, 1641. An additional leaf has been pasted in after folio 1 (folio 1*), on which the solution to the canon by Thomas Crequillon ‘Dont vient cela belle je vous supply’ has been written in a contemporary italic hand.
