The cantus part for Stabilis’ ’Beata es virgo Maria’ is labelled: Canon in subdiapente & ad Tertiam per oppositum. The number of parts for each motet is given in the table of contents as well as above the scores, though Lasso’s ’Omnes de Saba’ is incorrectly labelled in the table of contents as à 6 (rather than à 8) and Scandello’s ’Christus vere languores’ à 6 (rather than à 5).
With table of contents. The contents are divided into 13 sections: De Nativitate, Circumcisione & Epiphaniis Domini, De Purificatione, Annunciatione & Visitatione Maria virginis, Dominica Palmarum & de Passione Domini, De gloriosa resurrectione Domini, In feriis Philippi & Iacobi Apostolorum, In festo Ascensionis Domini, In festo Pentecostes, De Sancta Trinitate, In festo Ioannis Baptistae, Infeeriis Petri & Pauli Apostolorum, De Apostolis & Sanctis communiter, De Adventu Domini, Ad placitum. Palestrina’s 8-part ’Surge illuminare Hierusalem’ is not listed in the table of contents.
Copy at A.251.b. In the altus and sexta vox part books for Renati del Mel's 'Gaudent in coelis', the word 'animae' has been changed in manuscript to 'Angeli'. In the quinta vox part book, both the second printed part for Tombetti's 'Regna terrae' and the 'cantus secundi chori' for Lauro's 'Si quis diligit me' have been crossed through in red ink. Stablilis' 'Hi sunt, qui venerunt' has '24 ½' written over the 'cantus secundi chori' and the opening to 'altus secundi chori' crossed through, this time in brown ink. The words 'QVIa MEVs SVsCeptor MeVs' have been added in manuscript on the final blank page of the cantus part book.
