Abstract

The object of the work was to investigate some acids of the N-benzoyldiphenylamine series with a view to elucidating: (a) the mechanism of first-order asymmetric transformation, particularly when an excess of (+-)-acid was present. (b) the effect (steric and inductive) of substituents upon the stereochemical properties.
